WoW - Isla and the Happily Ever After

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Isla and the happily ever After

  May 13th 2014

From the glittering streets of Manhattan to the moonlit rooftops of Paris, falling in love is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year in France, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever.

Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new.

I'm super excited for this one (aren't we all?). Anna and the French Kiss is one of my all time favourite contemporary books and Lola was a great sequel, so I have high hopes for this one. Stephanie Perkins has established herself as a sort of queen of contemporary in my heart. Her characters are so real and lovable. I love her settings: France, San Francisco and now Manhattan! Only thing I'm going to complain about is the cover change. Yes, a lot of people prefer it but I liked the funky little cliche covers. That's alright though, I'll live.

What Are You Waiting On?

  5. Argh. So unfair. I haven't even bought Anna and the French Kiss yet and now this. Will I ever catch up seeing that--if I understand it correctly--this is already the third book? I think I might have to stop blogging for a while and just read and read. What do you think? xD

  8. Hmmm, I'm not sure about the cover for this one, doesn't seem very exciting! Anyway, I tried to get into Anna and the French Kiss and I couldn't, maybe I really should try again cos I've only heard good things.
