Cover Wars: Pointe vs. Sublime

Cover Wars is a weekly showdown of two beautiful covers. The winner, as voted by you, goes on to face a new cover, and wins bragging rights. This is basically a fun way to discuss what we like in covers.

Sublime came out the victor one more. This week it's acing Pointe by Brandy Colbert.

The two covers almost contrast each other, with one being really light and the other quite dark. The Bright orange title of Pointe stands out and the bubbles are also an interesting feature.

So, which'll it be?

Let the Cover Wars begin!

  1. Since Sublime still freaks me out a bit, I'm definitely going with Pointe. It helps that I adore books with ballet references.

    1. I know what you mean with ballet covers; they're always so delicate and classical.

    1. Great choice. I'm always looking at the difference in skin tone between the guy and girl model. It's so creepy but nice at the same time :)

    1. Sublime seems to have a lot of commenters who think it's creepy, but it still tallies up the votes!

  6. I love the font & colors used in Pointe, but the graphic editing in Sublime is just excellent, so I'll have to go with that one! :)

    1. Pointe's title is simple but well placed and coloured so that it looks just right. Sublime looks great as well. Great choice.
