The Weekly Progress: Happy Mother's Day Edition

The Weekly Progress is a type of wrap up post that happens every Sunday on The Sirenic Codex looking on the week that was.

I'm sorry for missing last week's post. Had some family stuff that happened, but it seems like everything is good now. :) Now, it's Mother's Day! Today, I'm planning on going to some kind of dessert place with my mom and just trying to have a nice day when I'm not madly studying for school.

Books Read

Nope.

Currently Reading

This book is taking quite some time. I finally got over half way through though! And there's some semblance of a storyline being formed!!

On the Blog

Wasn't around that much because everything I was supposed to do Sunday last week got delayed, and so I was desperately playing catch up all week long.

We started the week off with a 2014 reading update!

Mari wrote about her Unfinished Series Syndrome, and I feel like I want to write one of these posts too but I worry it would be ridiculously long since I prefer series to standalones...

I reviewed The Knife of Never Letting Go, which I liked!

Then, finally this post on dreaming and blogging finally got posted. We've had it for a while but umm I forgot to put in images, so it's a bit delayed, but I think it's one of the better posts I've ever written. :)

The Week That Was

Awful weekend aside, last week was a decent week. Graduation is just around the corner and it's starting to feel real! I accepted my offer of admission to university, and now comes the excitement of picking residences, prom dresses, courses, and of course, maintaining the marks I have to stay admitted. The weather is also becoming gorgeous, so I guess life is looking up!

I think I'm also going to try to finish Sophie's World this week. I never take this long to read a book, and I really want to read more books. I think I'm so bored when I'm in the same world all the time, which is probably why one of my favourite parts of this week was watching Game of Thrones. Season 4 is so, so good.

Song of the Week

Lots of great choices this week. I "discovered" Mashup-Germany who produce really awesome music. This one is probably my favourite, so enjoy! It has great melodies, and I've heard so many versions of Tsunami, and this is by far the best.

Have a great week!

    1. It gets even better! Have you been avoiding the spoilers? I'm so scared to go on Twitter Sunday evenings because I just don't want to be spoiled at all.
